- Commercial Air Duct CleaningAir duct cleaning for commercial properties. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) publishes a checklist for commercial HVAC cleaning projects. One question is whether a contractor will assess the system before work starts. Another is whether the contractor will provide a written work plan that lists the parts to be cleaned.
- HVAC System CleaningNADCA says the whole heating and cooling system should be cleaned, not only the ducts. The HVAC section of our home page goes through what a whole-system cleaning can include.
- Air Duct SanitizingApplying an antimicrobial product inside the duct system. NADCA recommends it only when there is a specific need to address microbial contamination. The association also says the product should be applied only after the system has been thoroughly cleaned. Read EPA’s caution on chemical treatments on our home page first.
- Dryer Vent CleaningCleaning lint out of the duct and vent that carry exhaust from a clothes dryer to the outside. The dryer vent page explains why that matters, using fire data and safety tips from the U.S. Fire Administration.
